  • In therapy, we will use a client-centered approach and work together on your therapy goals. Therapy is a safe, nonjudgemental space where you will learn the tools and skills to get a handle on and even resolve challenges. In addition to talk therapy, we might incorporate a variety of modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Flash Technique and mindfulness. I tailor sessions to your needs, preferences and situation.

  • My office is in Lower Manhattan. I currently have virtual availability for residents of New York, Massachusetts and Vermont. Please visit my Let’s Connect page for contact details.

  • Countless clients have shared that virtual therapy sessions work for both logistical and emotional safety reasons. Virtual therapy eliminates the pressure of arriving to sessions on time, as busy schedules and transit delays result in less focus and session time. Virtual therapy also increases accessibility by making professional help available to individuals regardless of their location or physical constraints.

When compared to in-person sessions, clients have reported deeper levels of healing when processing emotions from the comfort of home, resulting in increased courage and confidence when interacting in the world. Wonderful connections can occur virtually and in my experience, are truly as meaningful as face-to-face sessions.

  • I provide a safe and accepting space to explore and process whatever is happening in a person’s life. Pre-session involves completing paperwork through a HIPAA compliant client portal. I deeply value privacy and this is apparent in my practice’s policies and procedures. During the first session, we'll talk about what has brought the person to therapy at this time and identify therapy goals. While helpful, I don’t focus too heavily on history at this time.

If you’re experiencing a life transition such as the loss of someone, a relationship rupture, end or change, losing a pet, a medical trauma, traumatic experience or are feeling stuck in one or more areas of life, these are some reasons to consider speaking with a mental health professional. Once a client and I decide to work together, I recommend during the first session to simply start in the moment and allow the session to unfold.

  • Grief is an individual experience. Move through your loss at your own pace.

Whether you’re struggling to grieve your loss, feeling like you’re going through the motions with no relief, or are unsure what moving through a loss looks like, you’re not alone.
